Boots For OUR Troops Foundation
Boots For OUR Troops Foundation is
created to support qualified non profit
Veteran Service Organizations (VSO's)
that serve military personnel, their
families and veterans residing in
Arizona who find themselves in financial
difficulty and are in need of services
The Boots For OUR Troops Foundation
provides paper cutout combat boots to
participating retail stores, employment
centers, fraternal organizations and
veterans organizations for their
customers, employees and members to
purchase and display on a donor wall.

There is no charge to
participate!!!

Donations are distributed to non profit
VSO's who have applied and have been
approved by the Board of Directors. Any
non profit VSO within Arizona is eligible
to submit an application to be considered
for a grant.
Some of our Arizona veterans, military
personnel and their families may
encounter financial emergencies
because of substantially reduced
incomes during their period of active
duty and deployments. Post Traumatic
Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic
Brain Injury (TBI) require special care
for special challenges. Problems of
homelessness, readjustment, financial
shortfalls are just a few challenges
facing those who have made the
sacrifices to protect our country.

HOW CAN YOU
HELP?

IT IS EASY AND PATRIOTIC!
Mike,

Hope all is well with you. Wanted to let you
know that we were able to use part of our
grant from you to assist a veteran and his
wife who were traveling through Tombstone.
They had driven from Yuma to Amarillo
because of the promise of a job and a place
to live. That didn't work out. On top of that,
his wife is recovering from some emergency
surgery. They were trying to get back to
Yuma but were out of gas and money in
Benson. The Benson VFW sent them to us
and we were able to get them a room for the
night for a much needed rest and money for
food and gas to get home. The real bonus to
this is that they may actually get jobs at the
motel we put them up in! On top of that, the
wife had raised money for "Boots for Our
Troops' in Yuma, so her good works are
being directly rewarded. Way cool!

Mike, I love to spend your money.  We just used funds from your grant for the following:

$200 Fry's card for a Desert Storm veteran to help him 'bridge the gap'
$100 Fry's card plus $140 to U-Haul for a female Afghanistan vet who is disabled and the
house to her own place and had everything in place except the money for the U-haul.

Also, I have recently referred 2 wives of active duty servicemen to Army Community Services
for assistance.  Of course I thought of you, because Boots for Our Troops has helped them,
too.  Man, its getting to be a small world.

Thanks for all you do.

Hero Horses--Where would we be without our amazing horses?
They bring so much joy to all whose lives they touch. Not a day
goes by that we aren't reminded of how thankful we are for such a
great, healthy herd to share with our community. Knock on wood
- all are sound and eager to do their job. And now we have a new
addition – Maggie. She's a beautiful dark-bay Thoroughbred who
has an extensive background in the show ring. She does it all –
western, English, jumping, barrels, trail riding. She's had many a
child on her back, and we're currently getting her geared up for
her newest journey in life as a therapy horse.
BFOT is just one reason why we do what we do. Please help them so we can help you!
Thanks!

Boots For Our Troops has graciously donated
$3,000.00 to Hero Hearts in support of our pilot

Maloon and company have been very active in
pursuing approval for sponsoring soldiers, and we
thank them from the bottom of our Hero Hearts. If
you know of a business or public venue that would
be willing to sell “boots” for $2.00 to their
customers (“boots” are a picture of
combat boots with a space @ the bottom to put your
name and have displayed), please contact:
